The Best Hotel in The Dandenong Ranges, Victoria

Background Illustration for Hotels

Olinda is the main village in the Dandenong Ranges region and a good base for exploring the area. It's actually two villages (Lower and Upper Olinda, though Lower Olinda is better known by the name of the peak it sits beneath, Mt. Dandenong). The two are connected by Monash Road, along which you'll find a lot of the town's B&Bs and self-catering cottages. Olinda has a handful of good restaurants and cafés, and many specialty boutique stores selling curios and gifts. It’s a short drive from here to the National Rhododendron Gardens, Olinda Falls picnic grounds, Cloudehill Gardens, and various hiking trails.
