Consistently covered in glory at the annual (and hotly contested) Australia's Best Pie awards; recent winners include its prawn laksa (spicy noodle dish) pie. If your taste is more traditional, the beef pies are from cattle raised in Tasmania's pristine air, and coated in rich sauces.
