Dromana Drive-In

Fodor's Choice

The longest-running drive-in movie theater is in Dromana, which has been showing movies on the big, big screens here since 1961. Movies are updated weekly for a fun night out; if you don't have a car, book a seat in the open-air deck-chair area. Shel's Diner is a fun, '50s-theme café on-site, which serves burgers, chips, and ice cream before and during the movies. One of the few remaining drive-in cinemas in Australia, it does special horror events at Halloween, and all-night movie marathons in summer holidays.
