The Best Place to Shop in Adelaide, South Australia

Background Illustration for Shopping

If you are wondering where everyone in Adelaide is, you'll find them at Rundle Mall, the city's main shopping strip. Shops in the City Center are generally open Monday–Thursday 9–5:30, Friday 9–9, Saturday 9–5, and Sunday 11–5. Suburban shops are often open until 9 pm on Thursday night instead of Friday. As the center of the world's opal industry, Adelaide has many opal shops, which are around King William Street. Other good buys are South Australian regional wines, crafts, and Aboriginal artwork. The trendiest area to browse is King William Road in Hyde Park, a 20-minute walk south from Victoria Square. Outside of the city, the Marion Shopping Centre is packed with current trends, and Harbour Town next to Adelaide Airport is a great place to find a bargain.
