Fodor's Review

Dining in the open-sided restaurant or alfresco under the light of tiki torches, you can enjoy some of the most delicious, innovative cuisine in North Queensland. Choose from an expansive menu that combines traditional Balinese spices and recipes with native Australian ingredients—try the crocodile satay. The be celeng base manis (pork in sweet soy sauce) sounds simple, but is mouthwatering. The traditional rijsttafel feast for two includes rice with lots of curries, salads, fish dishes, stews, pickle sides, and, if you can squeeze them in, desserts. There's a long, tropically themed cocktail menu and a well-priced wine list. Don't eat lunch if you're planning to order the rijstaffel at dinner—it's huge.
