ABOUT
The capital of the Vinh Long Province is the transport hub of Vinh Long, a midsize industrial town. Most of the tourist infrastructure is near the river, which is a short walk from the main market. Vinh Long can be used as a base to visit the Cai Be Floating Market or the town of Sa Dec, 50 km (30 miles) away. Sa Dec is the modern-day home of many flower farmers and the 1920s home of French novelist Marguerite Duras—and the setting of her most famous novel, The Lover.
