Cha-am Travel Guide

Cha-am

It may not be the most picturesque seaside town, but Cha-am does offer an authentic Thai-style beach experience. The pier at the north end of Cha-am Beach is the center of this small quiet town. Its main street, Ruamchit Beach Road, passes by a tree-lined strip of beach on one side and restaurants, bars, guesthouses, and hotels on the other. Fresh seafood is available at small caf├ęs along this road, where there are also stalls selling trays of deep-fried squid, shrimp, and tiny crab for around B25. Cha-am retains its sleepy charm, and those searching for peace and quiet may find their niche here.
