The Best Hotel in Ayutthaya, Around Bangkok

Background Illustration for Hotels

A stay in Ayutthaya allows you to wander among the ruins at night, a romantic experience indeed. Most tourists leave Ayutthaya by 4 pm, but those who remain are treated to a less hectic and more genuine version of Thai hospitality. This is particularly the case at the small-scale guesthouses along the waterfront, some in historic, beautifully restored timber-built homes. These lodgings often provide far better value than Ayutthaya's older, more established hotels, which look impressive from afar but often have rooms of questionable or no taste and lack a personal touch.

Classic Kameo Hotel

This hotel's contemporary fittings are in contrast to Ayutthaya’s ancient vibes, but the rooms are clean and comfortable with firm beds and nice bathrooms. The Tower Wing has the best rooms, so ask for one there. The suites are really just higher-end versions of the double rooms in the tower. The hotel is not far from Wat Yai Chaimongkhon.

Pros

  • Close to tourist sights
  • Modern design
  • Good facilities like hot tub, pool, and gym

Cons
