Aadivart State Museum of Tribal and Folk Arts
This museum is laid out like a cultural village with installations, folk art, and representative houses from the seven major tribes of Madhya Pradesh---the Gond, Bheel, Kol, Bhariya, Sahariya, Baiga, and Korku. The striking displays reflect on the daily lives of the tribes, and includes photographs from cultural festivals, paintings depicting rituals, sculptures of local deities, and more. Everything from the design to the art that populates the museum has been created by the people of the tribes. Mahua, the restaurant on the premises, serves simple regional fare.
