If an easy-breezy beach vibe with a touch of sophistication is your scene, head to this spot with comfy cabanas, an alfresco dance floor with live DJs, tribal dance and fire acts, and smartly presented dishes and drinks. Purple Martini

This lively spot on the cliffs of Anjuna channels a Santorini vibe, with its blue-and-white color scheme, feel-good music, and an ocean view that's hard to beat. The cocktails are delicious---try the eponymous Purple Martini---and the clientele is trendy, with an occasional celebrity in attendance. Come early for sundowners, as the tables by the edge fill up quickly.

Shore Bar

The most popular place to down beer, watch the dramatic sunset over the Arabian Sea, and listen to loud music until the wee hours is the Shore Bar on the beach. The steps of this place are usually packed with people, especially on Wednesday after the flea market. Walk north from the market for about a kilometer to get here.
