Fodor's Expert Review Latitude 28
One of Delhi's prettiest, hippest cafés, Latitude 28 is the place to go if you want to relax over a thoughtful meal. Celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia has put together a playful mix of comfort food from around the world—chicken skewers, "old-fashioned chow mein," pasta with bacon and cheese, a mezze platter—and quirky takes on regional staples from around India: a Kolkata-style crispy chicken cutlet paired with baingan bhaja (sliced and toasted eggplant) and a apricot-tamarind-chili salsa, or lamb cooked in yogurt and fenugreek curry and served with Malabar parotta, the flaky flat bread native to Kerala. The café is a part of Good Earth, Delhi's classiest home store, and it looks the part, with stenciled walls, delicate chandeliers and a patio section with the best view in the market.
