Fodor's Expert Review Café Clock Marrakech

$ Medina Moroccan

Mike Richardson's cross-cultural café project, first established in Fez, is rocking the Kasbah area of Marrakesh. A youthful, funky vibe combined with tasty contemporary Moroccan cuisine at reasonable prices is a sure winner, and locals as well as tourists and ex-pats intermingle easily. Enthusiastic staff serve signature dishes such as camel burgers, blue cheese and fig salads, veggie platters, and homemade ice cream. There's also a menu of cultural activities: exhibitions, live traditional gnawa music, local bands, cooking classes, and al halqa (traditional storytelling). No alcohol is served.
