Fodor's Review

The food here isn't going to blow your socks off, but the view and the ambiance are well worth pulling up a chair and tucking into pan-Middle Eastern fare. Main dishes here come with salads, rice, and sides; but you can also order à la carte. One to try: a soup called lisan asfour (bird's tongue), a stock-based broth with orzo. The something-for-everyone menu runs the gamut from omelets to calamari. This pontoon restaurant—one of five such floating eateries tethered to the Corniche—affords pleasantly shaded Nile-front dining, good coffee and juices, Wi-Fi, and shisha. The restaurant used to serve alcohol but, at the time of this writing, was no longer doing so; this may well change.
