The larger ones are a bit flatter than normal, combination of a very hot and humid day and wetter dough. Still yummy, though! I allowed us each one today and am freezing the rest for the weekend. I am definitely making that mincemeat recipe again in November, it is just wildly delicious.

I usually don’t post salads but the lettuce was so crisp and fresh I could not resist. That is homemade ranch dressing on it: I put it in a squeeze bottle with a very narrow neck so it drizzles instead of pours.

Does not look like any ciabatta I’ve ever eaten 🙁. Crust excellent, misting dough with water before cooking and a few more times during the first ten minutes of baking does yield a great result.

The flowers continue around the crape myrtle on the far right. Alongside the right side of the house we planted full sun hybrid pink and white hydrangeas interspersed with a fluffy green bush whose name I can’t remember now, and a pink dogwood ringed with dianthus. Although that was just planted last October the dogwood bloomed in April. We can’t see it, I had the landscaping put in because our neighbor’s MBR window looks out on that view and I wanted it to be pretty for them.

The last slice of brioche. The knife and guard has a steep learning curve and works better making thicker slices of very soft bread.

This is what I would probably wear to a semi formal wedding in a rustic setting. It’s very dressy fabric used in a more relaxed style. This or some variation of it comes in a ballerina length skirt. Cute flats for the rustic outside part of the wedding, if there is one.

The dress you posted is very pretty but says after six wedding at the Plaza instead of rustic-ish Kennebunkport wedding.

My slice of meatball pizza piled with arugula. This was the best pizza I’ve ever made. I shredded whole milk mozzarella and used a new type of parm. I made the sauce my regular way with canned, fresh and sun dried tomatoes and fresh herbs, olive oil and a few other things thrown in.
