See the traditional 'soleilhe' or open top floor, once used to dry tobacco and wool. No doubt, they also assisted households with air-conditioning.

The Museum of The Resistance. Alas, it'd closed for the season a mere 2 days prior to our arrival. Among its displays, it contained a coded map showing the various Nazi atrocities in the immediate area, and the courageous, if controversial, maquis response.

Figeac had the fewest non-French tourists of this trip. Mrs Z and I were part of just a handful, all very friendly and all realizing how lucky we lot were to be there.

The Musee has an outdoor pavement reproduction of the Rosetta Stone. *Here, we experienced 'an incident' when an impatient, 40ish tourist gal (from Paris perhaps?) threw a hissy fit there after we took an extra minute to focus our cameras for this shot. Tres etrange. Even her 2 male companions seemed embarrassed by her animated and rude behaviour. What is French for 'Pick yer battles'?
