The Madagascar vanilla is on the left and Ugandan vanilla on the right. The top image is immediately after putting the vanilla in. The middle photo is 12 hours later, and the bottom photo is after 24 hours. I will be good enough to use after about 8-12 weeks but when you're making your own vanilla extracts it's best to let them age a year. The flavor will fully develop and it's absolutely worth the wait.
