Dog-themed ornaments were very popular in the Christmas department at Le Bon Marché, esp labs, goldens, corgis, poodles, pugs and dachshunds. Alas, no English cocker spaniel ornaments. :-( The store's window displays this year were amusing but odd, sort of an Eiffel Tower under the Sea theme, with dancing squids and other sea creatures surrounding the Tower.

Taken this afternoon. We had a smooth train ride to Lugano, some snow along the route but no delays, and then had a lovely lunch and did some final . Christmas shopping. Bright sunshine in Lugano and brisk but not bone-chilling weather. Next week: Gstaad, Scuol, and maybe Wengen or Zermatt
