Photos from San Francisco GTG

A good time was had by all, and now you can see the evidence (courtesy of Resident Photographer Phil Flash) with your own eyes at:

http://www.worldisround.com/articles/23795/index.html

Should you have any problems with that address, you can go to www.worldisround.com click on Personal Articles and search for "SF Fodors". Would love to hear your comments!

PS I've never done this before, and I found worldisround very easy and intuitive to use.

Wow, I had no idea that you folks socialized with one another. Very cool. I think the photos look great and, Marilyn, you've got quite a good sense of humor. (I've been enjoying your posts.) The house looks comfy, too. Now I feel like hosting a dinner party. There's nothing quite as fun as sharing good food with friends. I think it's time for a cosmo. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carnie -- I think most of our socializing is definitely on line! There was another SF GTG a couple of years ago at a restaurant, organized by Betsy. This one was a lot of fun and we may have another in the spring, either in Paris or at my house. So many people missed it who wanted to attend.

Thanks for your kind comments. You must be in a different time zone because it's not quite cosmo time yet here on the left coast.

Maira, since I don't cook at all, and I made the Chicken Marbella, it is extremely gratifying to know that at least I can produce a photogenic dish.

Recipe is from Silver Palette. Here is one of many places to find it online.
http://www.allbaking.net/ch/2000/feb...erpalate2.html
I used split chicken breasts and thighs instead of whole chickens.

My friends who make it say you can't go wrong even if you vary it a bit (hence ideal for me).

That get together looks like a lot of fun! I hope we can plan another one. Do you think we might be able to pull one together in L.A. or San Diego? Degas, Ira, Intrepid, Maitai, Cigale, dln, Scarlette, Thingorjus??? ANyone???

A blonde I have never been, kismet. A brunette most of my life and more recently a redhead. I think I'll be a blonde in my next life. Also much taller.

What a shame what's going on over in the U.S. forum on this thread. Seems there are lunatics everywhere. I don't understand why Fodors can't find a way to clean up its act. What a turn off.

I think that post should be allowed to die a natural death. If we keep posting back to this persons nastiness, we will be feeding a monster. This person obviously has no contact with his or hera own pyche.

I think it is so cool that you two are in the same Italian class, and that Susanna discovered it from the party photos!

È un mondo piccolo, Marilyn!

Glad you liked my reply to you over on the US board; it appears the censors didn't.

I guess they don't get irony or something.
