Wisconsin Dells or Door County? -- No, I'm not Kidding!

I have a 12-yr. old and a 14 yr. old -- Which place would they like better and why?

THE KIDS would like all the water parks and hoopla that goes with the Dells. YOU would most like Door County.

The Dells is like a big amuzement park. Boat rides, helecopter rides, fudge shops, Indian souvenirs (fake), water parks (fantastic ones both inside and out) 3rd rate night entertainment by Used to Be headliners, ....a total carnival, comercialized atmosphere.
Door County is ALSO commercialized these days.....but with more upscale shopping, high prices, genuine artists, galleries, and such. It has more true nature areas, and just a softer less brazen appeal. Like I said.......the kids will most likely prefre the Dells, not so the adults.

I agree.
Adults usually like Door County but not so much WD.
Kids, vice versa.

No contest----The Dells for the kids. If the kids want beach, bike-riding, sailing, etc. Door Co. is good, but most kids I know prefer the rides, waterparks, etc. at the Dells.

If you go to the Dells take the Upper Dells boat cruise vs the ducks It is beautiful and fun for kids and Noahs Ark Door is more nature and shopping '
