Winter Trip to Sequoia National Park, CA

We decided to visit this magnificent forest of the giants in December even though we knew most roads and sites would be closed during winter. Our main reason was photography. And of course we love some snow. For more details about our experiences and photos, please check the blog below if interested.

This sounds like a nice way to spend a few days in a beautiful area. Thanks for the posting and the pictures.

Thanks for the post. Our two favorite times of year for Sequoia are the middle of winter, and early-mid spring (April-early May). Very few people and the park is larger than Yosemite:

A few great recs in this article imo, especially the lights out at Crystal Cave. Amazing experience, and all they do is turn the lights off in the cave for 30 seconds.
