Which order to see these sights in DC...
Hello! I am leaving tomorrow for DC with my mom and grandparents. We'll be spending two nights/2 full days. We will be starting off at the Holocaust Museum, where we will be spending a few hours. However, after that, I am not sure which order we should visit the rest of the sights:
-National Gallery of Art and/or the Philips Collection (we are interested in seeing only one particular exhibit at these museums)
-National Cathedral
-Newseum
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for lunch spots around these sights?
Thanks in advance!

I just returned from DC and do not have advice for you on the order in which you see your sights. I do have a suggestion that was given to me and that I felt was spot on.
Give yourself some time after the Holocaust Museum in order to process and decompress.
Enjoy your time.

I'm not a DC expert by any means, but I will point out that Newseum is located right across from the National Gallery of Art. Otherwise, these venues are not located near each other, so I don't think it makes much difference what order you visit them. The Phillips Collection is located near Dupont Circle, and the National Cathedral is further out, west of the National Zoo.

The National Gallery and Phillips Collection have nice cafes inside.
Phillips Collection isn't far from "P" Street near Dupont Circle, which has several good restaurant...Pesce (fish), Urbana (in the Kimpton), Pizzeria Paradisio, Mark and Orlando's.

MomDDTravel,
I'm so glad you've made that point. I know I've suggested it on this board before, and it's so true. I always wince when I see people try to plan a full itinerary with the Holocaust Museum squeezed in. It is a really, really intense experience and anyone who goes should be prepared to not feel like doing anything for a while aferwards!

I agree with the comments about the Holocaust Museum.
The National Gallery of Art and the Newseum are fairly close to each other. Penn Quarter nearby has many many food options.
The Philips Collection is in Dupont Circle. The National Cathedral is on Wisconsin Avenue, logically would be before/after Philips. Two Amys is a really excellent pizza place not too far from the Cathedral.
