Nowhere! I think I have pneumonia, so no travel today. My youngest son came to visit me while the oldest (final exams tomorrow) entertained me on the phone. Nice day, nice lunch, and definitely no traffic!

All moms were very understanding

Traveling to see the doc tomorrow
California in 6 days

Spent the weekend in Seattle. Had a nice Mother's Day breakfast this morning with close friends before we headed back to OR.

We went all the way to the back yard for a good ole fashioned barbeque with a real charcoal pit.
The menu:
Appetizers- potato chips, doritos, pretzels

Salad-Tomato/cucumber/lettuce with olive salad dressing from New Orleans

Main course- barbeque chicken and sausage, rice dressing with Savoie's Cajun dressing mix, potato salad, garlic toast

Dessert-chocolate cappuccino cake with cappuccino

I just woke up from my nap.

Had a great Mother's Day. Went to church and lunch with the daughter and her husband and the grandgirls.

Then the real icee went and helped the son-in-law till his garden. That was fun, because it gave me time to talk and play with the girls.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

We traveled 40 miles into the city to Wrigley Field, and it was a beautiful day at the old ballpark. Cubs broke the seven-game losing streak today. Took us more than two hours to get home, though

Went to Norfolk, VA to attend a bat mitzvah Friday. Had a nice day Sat., got to see some of Norfolk which was a LOT nicer than I had pictured. (Not that I pictured anything bad; I just had never been there before).

Today we drove home. Ugh. What should have been 5.5 hour drive turned into 7 hours b/c of an accident on the worst road in America - I-95.

Angels Stadium for the second time in 24 hours. Instead of merely losing today, we were spanked. Hard. Ouch.

Pilcher woods outing in New Lenox, IL.

This is the first time I had ever been. We had an elegant brunch in the Birdhaven Conservatory and Green House Complex that is part of the above park district/ forest preserve system.

All grandkids were there as well, and it was a beautiful 80 degree day with sunshine abounding. The catcus garden was in bloom, and the children brought their bikes and did a long bike trail ride after I left to go visit my own 82 year old Mom. LUCKY ME!

My presents were all garden related- and this was the nicest Mother's Day I have ever had, just outstanding.

Drove 10 minutes to my daughter and SIL house. Wine (Cab) and strawberry's were served in the afternoon while enjoying visiting with the family including the 2 grandsons plus one grandson's 14 year old friends (a house full of young men sure can make a lot of noise, smile). SIL grilled steaks on the stove inside instead of outside as we had a real winter storm. Had a beautiful and relaxing day. A noisy but fun and loving Mothers Day. Best wishes to all.

I took my wife and kids to the beach and had a nice cookout. I had to take her. I needed someone to watch the kids and do the grilling while I went swimming.

Drove 2 1/2 hours to Tennessee, saw MIL and then my grandmother (who is 91 years old). Then went to my parents' house -- had homemade ice cream and went 4-wheeling with my sister and mother (all on the same 4-wheeler at the same time!)

Fenway Park with 3 other Moms to sit in the rain and watch the Red Sox lose. It was still fun since one had never been to Fenway before. We all have kids in college so no other big Mother's Day plans.

Went to daughter's house where SIL and DH cooked dinner for us and SIL's parents. Then the women sipped wine while the men all opened daughter and son-in-law's pool for the summer season. Fun day!

Took my wife and kids to brunch at a restaurant on the edge of Portland's Pearl district. The weather was nice enough for seating outside on the sidewalk, across the street from a park where folks were playing bocce. If you closed your eyes, you could imagine.......

One of my sons and I went to my Moms house in WI. She made us lunch and we left with the dirty dishes on the counter.

PS...she insisted as many Mothers are likely to do. Drove 3 hours home and did the cooking for my wife and 2 boys...I'm not really ALL bad.

Mother of 4, grandmother of 11, I rode my Vespa scooter in my beautiful town of Winter Park, Florida, going to Leu Botanical Gardens and to one of our many excellent restaurants. It was a perfect day to ride!
