Have you considered and evening out at the Rainbow Room? Sort of like Romper Room, but better.

Sure. Get a babysitter and go out and have some fun.

Central Park Zoo, playgrounds all over the city, Toys R Us ferris wheel in Times Square, America for brunch, South St. Seaport to look at the boats, Transit Museum to look at the 'twains', as my nephew likes to call them.

Whatever you decide to do, do it quickly. Mayor Bloomberg has announced plans to sign the "Child Welfare Protection Act" which prohibits children 2 years and under from entering Manhattan, unless they can show residency. Once legislation is signed in the City, it takes 90 days to take effect. Proposed signing date is next week.

If you do go before the spring, take your 2 year old to some of the unique toy stores, such as FAO and others.
