Are we naming our sororities? Zeta here.

Congratulations, mms! You must feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from your shoulders. As heartwrenching as it must have been, I'll bet you appreciate each other that much more. Enjoy your weekend--you definitely deserve it!

I have a Mike's Hard Lemonade in hand...but Cranberry. Think there is any redeeming qualities in it???? Hmmmm...any REAL juice in it? lol!

Not sure WHAT just happened...but think the kids took advantage of my good mood. I somehow told them that getting a trampoline would be ok! yikes!!! Of course they were thrilled and said that now it will be easy because DH is the pushover, lol!

Razzle--Alpha Phi, aka...well, best we not go there! lol! I have not been to Spain or Greece, but Portugal is GORGEOUS!!! That is on my list of places to return to. Plus they sell wine in little juice boxes...like what little kids drink out of here.

Jocelyn--Yes, ever since all this stuff began I think I have appreciated the kids even more. Even today I let DS buy shoes that I thought were ugly, lol!

Aloha all...

mms, I have been lurking FFRR threads for awhile and have been watching to see how things turned out for you and your DS. Praise God for this good news. I'm thrilled to have learned it here on this mellow wonderful thread on a Friday night... The FFRR have become too intense w/ crabbies for my lurking anymore.

Love to hear all of your favs... my longs to experience Italy... I've never been "across the pond" other than westward to my current fav, Hawaii... anywhere on the north shore of O'ahu or Kauai... but now once I travel to Italy, well then, we will see! Will you all help me plan my trip when I finally go? DH has no desire for Europe, so maybe I'll have to go solo, or see if any of you are ready for a jaunt when the time comes...

Razzel, my 2nd fav is St John... romantic memories w/ DH that I will NEVER forget... too intimate to post!!

Oh, my poison tonight... Clos du Bois Vintage Zin... warming the balls of my feet! DH just whipped up a delicious meal of garlic doused grilled fillet, KING crab legs... and they truly were leggie! I can only take credit for the tossed salad. All is well with my soul.

Aloha all...

Hi mms, just had to say that John Muir Hospital as I am sure you know is a highly regarded institution. And dear one, my friend would love to adopt you, she is as kind and as much fun as you are.

Wishes for a fun and relaxing weekend with your sorority sister. You deserve it!!! Cyber hugs.

Can you tell that the kids are still outside playing and dh is not home yet? lol!

Razzle--Isn't it funny how those house nicknames stick around? I had to explain to DD what "all for free" meant, lol!

Makai--Jump right in! Yes, this thread is so fun. I do like FFRR but there are some interesting characters that rear their ugly side at times. You definitely need to venture out across the pond! My first trip was to Portugal, to meet DH on a port stop, and I really had no desire. Once I got there I was kicking myself for being so ignorant! It was a dangerous thing...it got me hooked on traveling.

uh oh...I think I hear airsoft pellets hitting windows!

mms,

DH just came into my office and laughed at your post about the airsoft pellets hitting your windows! He just loves boys being "wild at heart"! Have a great weekend!

I feel like an interloper on this thread, but this conversation is soothing to me on a rainy Friday night while enjoying a glass of merlot.

Can you become too old for St. John, RazzleDazzle? I've been three times now and love it more each time. I am quickly advancing through my 40's and don't look as svelte in my swimsuit as I used to.

Do we get to a place where our egos are quiet?

My poison tonight is a 99 Fortius cab from the closeout bin at the local wineshop. I should be drinking mint juleps with the Derby tomorrow.

My fav destination is anywhere in Italy but am leaving for Spain May 22 after I to to NYC for the GTG.

mms - They have those cute little wine boxes in the cafeteria in the Vatican museums. I have been through the pediatric oncology/hematology/bone marrow thing with my own child 15 years ago. It changes your outlook and expectations for your child and stays with you forever. Glad you got a good diagnosis.

seetheworld - I saw on FFRR you are going to Boston for a graduation. We need to introduce your son to my daughter - she's at school in Boston too. I will be flying there the 18th to help her pack and store her dorm stuff and then we are going to NYC for the GTG. When is your graduation? Are you going to the GTG?

Makai1 - I think all of us are willing to travel at anytime if you need traveling companions!

Have a fun weekend and be sure to watch the Derby and have a mint julep Saturday!

As usual, my Friday night poison is cheap red wine, in this case Fortissimo. I'm fortunate to have been to so many places I've enjoyed. But I have to hope that the best is yet to come!

Good Morning Kybourbon!

My son's graduation is on Sunday, May 22nd, but we are driving up on Saturday for some pre-commencement activities. And of course we need to pack him up one last time and cart his stuff home. I would much prefer a dorm room cr*p burning ceremony but that idea was vetoed

Does your daughter enjoy Boston? My son loves Boston -- he'll actually be back there in November for graduate school.

Unfortunately I cannot make the GTG -- I would love to meet you guys, lol! Have a terrific time, take plenty of pictures, and enjoy the wine!

Hi Statia! I've been missing you on the boards too!

My computer absolutely refused to cooperate last night. We have some weird video card problem, think we just have to suck it up and get a new one.

I'm here with my tea this morning. Favorite destinations are Rome & St. John. Both are heaven in their own way.
