What's up the The Blog and does anyone read The Blog?

What is up with Fodors Blog and does anyone read The Blog?

I made an effort and gave up. Too long winded.

If anyone could tell me how to make it more enjoyable, please, I would appreciate the suggestions.

I tried twice. Both times was unable to "get it". Gave up.

I tried it once, the Fodors Blog, I read it but was in a fog, I would not read it to a dog, would rather search for small brown frogs...okay, I'll stop. Am I the only one who had to look up the word blog? Why not simply call it a journal?...something familiar, something that doesn't sound as though it's lodged in a drain :-B

so what is a blog? Is it what Scarlett said, a weblog? I'm feeling out of it

And btw, what prompted your asking the question now GoTravel? They recently moved it to the bottom of the column. It used to be at the top. I think it is more noticeable at the bottom but I still don't "get it."

I had a weird sign on the other day and about four subjects for the blog were the only things that showed up on my screen.

I made an effort but it fell flat. I was wondering if I was missing something.

Mclaurie, a blog (bleck!) is a journal, or, yes, as Scarlett more clearly put it a weblog

The etymology of the newly coined word "blog" rests precariously on the vowel sound contained within. It is the "blah" within "blog" that keeps most away from these boring online text passages.
