what are some great escapes within the USA for New Year's Eve partying?

Hi, does anyone have suggestions as to what some fun/inexpensive places might be a good idea to visit for New Year's Eve this year? Prefer to remain within the USA, SF is not an option, have done it too many times. Thanks!!

Have you thought about Las Vegas? While there are big hotel/casinos on the strip, we also have Best Western, Comfort Inn, and even Motel 6. EVERYONE parties on New Year's Eve here... Best of luck and good wishes for your new year!

I did New Orleans for New Years a few years ago and it was great. New Orleans is definitely a party town and if you are a football fan, we secured tickets for the Sugar Bowl game while there too. (can't remember if it was played on New Year's Eve or New Years Day) As far as big cities go, New Orleans is less expensive than say New York, but you'll spend plenty of money on hurricanes at Pat O'Briens LOL!!! Godd thing about NO is the weather as well.

Loving Florida as much as I do and going as much as I can, last year I went to the Vodoo Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale. We had the best time. There was quite the line, but once your in (reservations required)it was great. This is an upscale place that caters to well dress people ages from 28 plus. There are VIP rooms that you can reserve for the evening. Last year we got lucky and had some star sightings. I have even seen Dennis Rodman there. Also the Spice Girls. If you don't like it there, there are plenty of party places in the area.
