Two nice days at the Encore Las Vegas

Really, I'm only here to tell you that I loved the spa room! I didn't get a massage or any of the extra services, they're a bit above my budget but the steam room, dry sauna, whirlpool and warming chairs are included in a $30/day pass. It was such a luxury to indulge for hours (okay, only 2 1/2 hours but I could've spent 4 hours in there if my husband was a bit more patient). It's clothing optional so I got naked and pretended it's something I do all the time.

I never thought of Las Vegas as a place to go and relax but this time it was. We never left the Wynn properties. We ate at Okada, which was only so-so but maybe it's our lack of experience with japanese food. Wazuzu, Asian fusion was great. We stopped only for a snack or a late lunch and were so stuffed we couldn't eat dinner that night. Excellent drunken noodles.

One of our favorite meals was at Zoosacrackers, a New York deli style restaurant. We had a beautiful pastrami sandwich that had flavorful, moist and tender pastrami and a lovely cobb salad, fresh and loaded.

The Country Club is a nice spot for lunch, too, especially if you don't have the $500 for green fees but just want to look and dream.

Our room was $120 a night and had a lovely bed and the view went on forever. We're planning on going back.

glad you had a great relaxing time..
we love the wynn and haven't been to encore yet but just got the promo for the holidays of $109 weekdays..
we have always had good sushi and love the deli zoozsa crackers and daniel bouluds for the 3 course meal with the water show.
pdx..your report would be almost the same as my wife and I's..
bedding is great..haven't been in a year but thinking of a road trip for a couple of days before xmas..the steam room alone is worth it.
thanks for bringing me down memory lane..isn't it a great 5* resort for the price?

The bedding IS great! I slid into those sheets and said 'aaaahhhhh!' The mattress is wonderful but the sheets are perfection.
I think this is a hotel that you can keep going back to and perfecting your stay. Tweak it here and there, figure out how to save a buck (like bringing a bottle of wine and vodka!) and which restaurants are going to give you the biggest thrill. Boulud's is next on my list. Getting my 'schedule' adjusted so as to be ready to eat early enough at the Taste of Wynn restaurants. I need to sign up for the email specials.

for us, we road trip it there from SD and we go midweek and YES, do sign up for the e-mail specials..they have some great deals..the latest is the $109 midweek and $159 Fri/Sat..with a free suite upgrade too...for around $500 for 2 adults for 3 days with all the food, luxury rooms, drink and gambling..that is one hell of a deal!
We bring a cooler of some beers, wine, vodka and a couple of Starbucks coffee drinks to get us to the coffee place downstairs.
You cannot beat the 5* resort for the price and the bedding is awesome..from the pillows to the 1,000 count Egyptian sheets..
Love the pool as well.
Wynn is still the best, imo..we like the Palms too.
Country Club has become one of our favorites and boy after drinking those deli sandwiches at zoozsa (sp) are outstanding..that is a great Jewish deli.
Glad you had a great time pdx!

We had Drunken Noodles at Wazuzu, too. It was the best thing I ate in Vegas!
