High Mt Passes Not Open

If is official. Many of the high mountain passes that typical open over Memorial day weekend will be closed. Too much snow especially the storm two days ago that dumped over 2' and more is forecast for this weekend. The passes in the Denver area that will remind closed are Trail Ridge Road, Independence pass, and Mt. Evans road. It has been a long and snowy winter. The good news -- Arapahoe Basin thinks they will be able to stay open through the July 4th weekend.

For those you planning early June trips might want to check your plans. White water rafting should be terrific by early June. But also water could be too high for some areas. Need to check and double check.
