The Shore Club: Hit or Miss?

My partner and I have reservations at the Shore Club over Christmas. Has anyone stayed there since it opened? How does it compare to the Delano & the National in regard to rooms and pool area?

alex: Not familar with the Shore Club but have stayed at the National and was not impressed. The standard ocean view room was super small and not luxuriously decorated. Also the public spaces in the hotel were devoid of people and this was in January. The restaurant was always empty and in our opinion overpriced. No gift shop / newstand / pharmacy. The overall hotel was attractive and the pool area was stunning, but we thought the ambiance and room quality were lacking considering the price. On our next visit we would probably stay at the Loews.

Did you know that Nobu just opened in the Shore Club?

It would be helpful if you post the city in the header. I still have no idea where these places are located!

Thanks for the replys.

1. Frank, thanks for info on National. We've stayed there and you are absolutely right-on in you comments.

2. Yes, having Nobu there is a plus.

3. Shore Club is on South Beach.
