There are two hotels at the base of the Cedar Point Causeway....the Radisson Harbour Resort and the Greentree Inn.....the Radisson being the nicest. The sign in front says, "Stay any closer and you'll wake up on a Roller Coaster."
IMHO, The Breakers is NOT worth the price. It's beautiful and right on the wide Lake Erie Beach, but THAT is the only benefit. Unless you're going to CP to swim and chill on the beach, there are better ways to spend your lodging $$$.
Have fun! Cedar Point RULES!

Yes, its still old lol, but has been renovated. It is lovely, but it is NOT worth the price, imho. Again, unless your sole purpose is the lay on the beach, which IS very nice also. You can walk to the park from the hotel too, which is a plus, but again, NOT worth the BIG bucks.
If you DO stay there, request an upper floor as the hotel is used a as cut-through / detour by the general public....including those who have NOT paid for park admission. (There is a Fridays next door which is a common meeting point for parents picking up their young teens who have seasons passes to CP.)
Also within 5 minutes of CP are many hotel / motel chains, which cost 1/4-1/3 of The Breakers. I personally would rather spend another day at CP then pay big bucks for a place where we'd be spending little time.

Ceder Point is a blast! I go every chance i get! Try paymetravel.com that is where we found our room for this summer. 79 bucks and it has a heated pool and cable. If you are a coaster fan that is all you will want to do when you get to the hotel anyway! You will be tired. Rmember the sunscreen, learned that the hard way!
