something different

We are going in September and would like to try something a bit different...perhaps a smaller yacht tour for a week and then a week in the interior. Any suggestions?

Where the heck are you talking about? Alaska????? If so, put Alaska in the title and more people will be apt to respond.

Cathy,I think a week would be great. And definitely a small yacht, large ones are so passe!
And after that you will have to go to the city.Stay in that great hotel everyone talks about.Don't forget to eat in that good restaurant, but make reservations, you know how busy it gets there, at that time of year.

Cathy

September is a lovely time to go. The snapdragons are starting to bloom for the fall and the area by the lakes is just splashed with color.

The temperature finally starts cooling off, especially in late September and yet the water temperature is still warm enough for a swim.

We've been several times in September and find the larger yacht to be so much nicer. Larger bathroom with a FULL SIZE TUB. You don't want to settle for less.

Tell Captain Thomas we said hello when you see him.

The interior trip on the overland shuttle was incredible. Definitely take the donkey ride down to River Bend Valley. It's a little slow but the scenery is magnificent.

Enjoy....
