Snug Harbor
I've seen Snug Harbor mentioned several times as a good place to listen to jazz. Anyone know whether reservations are necessary? I know, from their website, that they take them, but has anyone gone without them? Thanks!

Even with advance ticket sales, we had a hard time getting a seat. Buy in advance, and arrive early! Although the bigger names are at Snug Harbor, we preferred the Spotted Cat across the street! Once you're in the neighborhood, there are a couple great places for dinner before or after your show. We loved Marisol's down the street; it was really excellent food in a romantic atmosphere. And another the place on the corner a half block from Snug Harbor looked great, although the name escapes me right now. Have fun!

Snug Harbor at Ft. Myers Beach is a fun casual restaurant. I wasn't even aware until this post that they now have jazz. That's good news.
I assume that's the Snug Harbor you're talking about since you didn't mention any state or city.

Could be, and it makes more sense than the Snug Harbor I know about. I understand how a "newbie" could not understand that everyone will automatically know where he's talking about when posting and clicking a state, but sandypaws has done a lot of posting here. Did we suddenly think everyone is supposed to be a mindreader? Or is Snug Harbor in New Orleans so famous that everyone is supposed to automatically know where and what it is? I may not be a NO expert, but I have been there four or five times and I've never heard of it, so I don't think it is quite like saying, "I want to stay in Times Square" without adding the New York City to the title.
