Well now, we decided we will go to Breck, CO. We are actually leaving this Mon 2/18 to 2-24. Excited but hoping all will go well. We have 3 yr, 5 yr, 7 yr. What an expensive trip. All signed up in ski school for 3 days. But now, for us, my husband and I are green - blue runners. Blue was a little hard last time we were in Whistler, Canada. Our First time in Breck, looking at the temp 7 degrees right now.... that is cold, considering coming from Spring Houston weather right now 70's. Don't know our itinerary yet. We'll ski 3 days in Breck, Advise on the runs and other things to do after ski.

Haven't skied Breck in years but always advise skiers to ease into their skiing. Start with the green runs until you're feeling confident.
As to the cold, dress in layers and try to take frequent breaks. The coldest part of skiing is usually riding the lifts so look for those lifts that have some protection (via trees).
I'm pretty sure there is no shuttle to Vail, although there is a shuttle to Copper Mt. and Keystone.

Been going to Breck/Summit County for years. Anything off the the Mercury Quad Chair Lift (Peak 9) is great for skiing good blues. And Peak 7 is ALL blues, can't go wrong there. Peak 10 is probably out of your range if you're green-blue skiers. And Peak 8 is a little softer.
Good luck!
Good luck!
