SF Muni Question

I'm interested in the weekly Muni pass. Somewhere on this forum someone mentioned that the pass is good for Monday through Sunday. Is this true? I'm from NYC and our passes begin to countdown from the first day of use. I'm arriving on Saturday, so a pass that expires on Sunday won't be too helpful.

You might want to go the SF MUNI website and e-mail them your question under "Contact Us." I've always used the monthly pass, so am not sure about the weekly one. http://www.sfmuni.com/home/home50.htm

You have a couple options. One is the MUNI Passport, which sounds like it is what you want. They are good on all buses, lightrail, streetcars, and cable cars and you can get them for 1, 3, or 7 consecutive days. The days start the first day you use them. Another option is the City Pass, which is also good on all MUNI transportation, plus admission to several attractions. A third option would be to buy a bunch of tokens.

You better use Lisa's advise and send them an e-mail through "contact us". Often I see the tourists scratching off the dates, so the pass may be for 7 consecutive dates. There are different ones, depends if you buy them on MUNI website or kiosk, or if you buy them through the visitor's bureau.

The Muni site is pretty clear about the passports and also where they are sold in the city.
