Salem
Hi all.....We will be visiting Salem this summer with our 2 teenaged daughters. There are so many *witch* attractions.....can anyone recommend which would be best for teenagers......is anyone familiar with the *witch village*. Any other recommendations?

HI MICHELE-OUR FAMILY IS TAKING A TRIP TO THE SAME AREA IN OCTOBER FOR A FEW DAYS.I WENT TO THE BOOKSTORE AND BOUGHT A BOOK TITLED FUN WITH THE FAMILY IN MASSACHUETTS BY MARCIA GLASSMAN-JAFFE. IT IS FULL OF ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH THE FAMILY AND SPECIFIC AGES.YOU MAY FIND IT HELPFUL.IF YOU NEED SOMEWHERE TO STAY IT SEEMS THE SALEM INN IS A GREAT LOCATION-MORE EXPENSIVE BUT YOU ARE PAYING FOR ATMOSPHERE.

I agree with traveler, unless you are there for a few days leading up to Halloween, it is hard to find things to do. I love Halloween so we stayed 7 days and it was about 5 days too many. love the town, the atmosphere and the history. There were only a few restaurants so we got bored quickly with the food. we stayed at the hawthorne hotel which was nice but a little on the small side. Most of the attractions are a little cheesy. DO take the walking tours at night they are scary and fun. good luck, Stacey
