I stayed there a few years ago and I had a great time - huge room, with fantastic balcony looking towards the sea. From what I remember, the sun deck and pool was on the 10th floor and the hotel itself is located a couple of streets (blocks?) back from the beach - but its only a five minute stroll at most.
The staff were very welcoming and the cocktails in the bar (with the piano playing in the foyer/lobby) were very welcome after a day's sight seeing.....
It was an Outrigger when I stayed - hopefully it won't have changed much now that Radisson have taken over.
Best wishes from the UK

We stayed there last March. It was okay, but I did not care much for the Waikiki area. The hotel itself, though, was nice. About 2 blocks from the beach.
As an aiside, we only stayed there two nights but were charged for just one. I pointed this out to the desk clerk, and she said it would be more difficult to change it, so she would let it go.
