I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth: Marilyn is NOT sitting on my hands at this moment!

Well, now, Marilyn DID say "Just sit on your hands like I do ..."
Hey, so long as you're both perfectly comfortable, who am I to judge?

ROTFL - I interrupted that Marilyn wants Faina to sit on her hands (in otherwords Faina to sit on her own hands) as Marilyn sits on her own hands.
But than again I could be wrong.

It is Friday, right? Toooo funny!

Are we denying everything again? Well, in this case, I deny being in denial! :-"

Well Faina, most people in denial do deny being in denial, don't they? LOL.
And Maryilny says ---- ?

Hmmmm, don't know about you two.

But than again, it is Friday!

Virtuous Me has been at the gym.
Now, honestly, folks! How would you phrase the sentence to express that Faina should sit on her own hands, as I sit on mine? (Without sounding stilted...)

The Naff Handsitting Rule Book says:
One should always sit on ones own hands except for the rare occassion when a friend or loved one needs their hands warmed or kept still.

This should only occur between consenting adults or family members or BFF, the rest have to go to the Naff store and get Personal Hand Warmers.

Marilyn, they are not saying, each of us must mind our own business, are they?

And to follow Scarlett's etiquette advise, PLEASE make sure the handwarmer's are not denim with black trim. That is not naff (or maybe it is, I am still sooooo confused what naff is!)

"My hands are itching to type an answer.."

"Sit on your hands, dear, like I do."

To help you resist the temptation, Faina.

OK Scarlett, thank you sooo much for the definition of "naff". Now I know for sure I am "naff". Whew, I was worried for a few days whether I was or was not. quot;> For sure I would rather think of myself as "naff" rather than "gormless" you are right, that does sound yucky!!! What would my friends think.

I don't know about you, people, but I usually sit on other body parts, and use my hands for typing.

Must be the cultural difference - I was born in the former Soviet Union.

"Gormless" does sound like some formless greenish thing with a blobby look on its face.

Oh Faina, I told you in another post that I have some in-laws originally from Russia. And they too have strange customs!!!! When you sit on your hands than just put a pencil in your mouth and peck away on the keyboard or use your nose. No problem!!!!

Didn't realize there was a culture gap. "Sit on your hands" is for me the internet version of "Bite your tongue."
