I wouldn't return to the Dominican Republic, Antigua, Aruba or Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

For years I refused to go to Vegas, but finally went and loved it. I've been back three times.

J_Correa, I lived in Nashville for many years. Don't write it off just yet. I'm not a country music fan either, and Nashville has developed into a very cool city with things that having nothing whatsoever to do with country music.

Hawaii

Cleveland. Grew up there. Had to transfer at the airport last week and even 15 minutes at the airport felt like hell.

Also Las Vegas.

I did not like Tunisia.

Have never fancied places like India/Vietnam/Africa etc.

Don't like to see grubby things & poverty on holiday. And will definately not go to any country that eats cats or dogs.

I am too european in my mindset 'exotic' countries leave me cold.

Anything Disney (although I've had to go for work). Montgomery, Al. The only 'boarded-up' state capital that I have had the misfortune to visit.

cocontom Nov 6th, 2007 07:39 PM

GoT, I think I was in Philly that weekend!

But I doubt I'll go back to Sanibel- not enough to keep me entertained, but too much stuff (condos etc) to really relax.

Binthair Nov 6th, 2007 07:58 PM

Tombstone, AZ and agree with Seaside, OR. Also most of densely populated coastal areas of Florida. Cancun too.

LoveItaly Nov 6th, 2007 08:57 PM

Vegas and any Disney Park anywhere. And Reno (unless I could see Crefloors).

I'm with iamq: I refuse to go to Texas. Even though my brother lives there.

Other than that, I'll go anywhere that is reasonably safe at the time of travel. I know there is always some risk of danger, I am just not going to go looking for it.

Dallas Texas. Certainly wouldn't want to revisit Jakarta either.

Melnq8 Nov 7th, 2007 01:58 AM

Egypt & India - no interest whatsoever.

Not crazy about Jakarta either, although something tells me I might find myself back there before I leave Indonesia.

asdaven Nov 7th, 2007 02:47 AM

France- I would never go there and possibly all or most of Europe except Spain or Italy and possibly Germany.

AnnRiley Nov 7th, 2007 02:54 AM

This is a really interesting post as some of the places are not ones i would of thought people disliking.

But it does beg the question has Hollywood and films in general given some unsavoury places a 'glamourous image'.

We have pre-conceptions of the glamour etc but in reality they often disappoint.

For example someone mentioned Tombstone Az, now my hubby is John Wayne Cowboy films mad and as an Englishman Tombstone conjures up all sorts of 'Holloywood' induced images, but the reality may well disappoint him.

Its often the name that induces.

Mexico - have no desire whatsoever to visit Mexico.

Also, Virginia Beach, VA We had reservations once. Got there, took a look around and immedately returned to Williamsburg.

peggybauer Nov 7th, 2007 03:59 AM

forgiddy Nov 7th, 2007 05:18 AM

Tiajuana. I'm glad we went as a day trip just to make sure I never go again. I'd rather not go back to Tampa or Kansas City.
I'd just as soon not go back to Mystic CT.

Dohlice Nov 7th, 2007 05:46 AM

I'd never go back to San Juan, PR

Also can't see myself going to India or China.

GeorgeW Nov 7th, 2007 05:51 AM

Ocean City, Maryland- too congested. Myrtle Beach, SC- ditto. Daytona Beach, FL- ditto. The Tampa-St. Petersburg area- ditto. Bimini, Bahamas- developers have ruined in since I last went, the Compleat Angler burned down, too many panhandlers.

Aduchamp1 Nov 7th, 2007 06:04 AM

Places to which I would not want to return:

Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, all of Florida, Switzerland, LA (except for the Chinese food in Monterrey Park) Las Vegas and my ex-sister-in-law's house

I will go just about anywhere for a first time.
