You might get more answers if you let everyone know where and what is "Per Se"? You may have posted this under a topic, but those of us looking through the general postings don't know this info.

More information, please....

Hmm, I don't mean to be rude, but if you don't know what the OP is talking about, you really don't need to worry about answering the question.

Per Se is a restaurant in the Time Warner Center in NYC that had a fire in February. It was closed while they did clean up/repairs to the kitchen.

I had a reservation pre-fire. They called me a few weeks ago to reschedule and I took a reservation for June 16th. I will be happy to report back on the 17th.

Gee Margie, speaking of rude... Perhaps if the OP was a little more specific every time we all could learn a little instead of just being confused by yet another vague post.

Margie -- I was just letting cindymal know why she may not have recieved a response to her question. As far as I knew, she could have been a first-timer. As we all know, first-timers sometimes post in the wrong sections and don't understand why they don't get answers. If posters would give more basic information, it would help all of us.

I'm glad I got involved in this post because I'm heading to NYC the end of May. It's nice to know what some of the places are that are being discussed.

I think everyone should relax about the post.I just wanted to know about this resturant from some of the regulars that
post replys on this site and live in NY.
For heartburn Per Se is a impossible reservation to obtain. Some other spots you may want to try Atelier,Chanterrele,
Daniel,Bouley,Arabelle,Lever house,Djano,Felidia,Gotham Bar and Grill,Spice Market,River cafe, water club,The terrace. Some of these are more casual than others and the river cafe is in brooklyn but has great views of the city.
Enjoy
Cindy

Thanks for the info, Cindy. We will be near Memorial Sloan Kettering on the Upper East Side and Mom is in a wheelchair, so we will be looking for nice places in that area for dinner.

I can't help but tell you that the name of the restaurant sounds a bit funny (or not, depends on your sense of humour) to me, because as I live in Finland, the name Per Se in Finnish means the same as people's behind. "Ass", if I'm specific. Oh well. Had to tell you that. Anyway, it's supposed to be a good restaurant.

Jimshep, sounds like you need a refresher course! By harping on the fact that you didn't like my response, you are in fact hijacking Cindy's post - THAT is very rude. At least my response gave information, yours was just snide. Oh well.

Anyway, I think Cindy put it very nicely when she said "I think everyone should relax about the post. I just wanted to know about this restaurant from some of the regulars that post replies on this site and live in NY" And, btw, that was a nice list that Cindy shared with all of us - thank you!

Hi Margie, Miss Manners suggested you call me snide? Doesn't sound like her. It has more the tone of the first message you posted on this thread. It is just so "you."

Hi everyone,
I will be going to Per Se on May 15th
and will give you my report.Sepe that is so funny.I hope it is better than its Finish name.I have been to the French Laundry in CA which is owned by the same chef in Napa CA.
Heartburn check out zagats.com,it lists
resturants by location and will tell you about wheelchair status as well.

Hi everyone,
For those of you that are interested this was one of the best dinning experiences I have ever had.The food & service were wonderful,we had the nine course tasting menu which I highly rec. Also the decor is beautiful and almost all of the tables offer a spectacular view of the city. They also had a pretty good wine list but was lacking in selections from CA considering its roots from the French Laundry in Napa.Just beware this is a very expensive resturant but I thought it was worth it.Enjoy.I am curious what others thought of this resturanr,I am sure we will hear from bugswife.
