Park City, Utah

Hello-
We will be traveling to Park City during Christmas break with family in a party of ten.
I need some suggestions on where to stay-we think we would like a ski in, ski out since we have so many in our party. Is cross country skiing good there as well?

Can anyone suggest restaurants or good local grocery stores?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Denise. We have a large condo one block off of Main St and one block from the town lift. 4 bedroom, 4 bath and a loft with 2 bunk beds and a pull out sofa (great for kids.) It is available for rent at Christmas and we can help you find all the great restaurants and stores. I'm in the process of getting something up on the web, so if you would like more info email me: [email protected]
Cheers,
Kay

Query Park City in this forum and you will see a host of restaurant and lodging recommendations. Depending on the snow, cross country skiing can be good or icy. But there are lots of trails in PC and Heber.

Denise,

With a family group your size, I think you are right to want ski in/out. I assume you have a healthy budget and know those are always the most expensive lodging choices.

There are many ski in / ski out. Staying on the slopes at either Park City Mtn Resort or Deer Valley would be my two choices. Canyons is a few minutes away by bus or car to Main Street.

There are lots of non-skiing activities too - snowshoeing, hot air balloons, snow mobiling, ice skating, tubing. Of course there are the spas, shops, restaurants and galleries.

Stantonhyde and I, and the other Ut Fodorites, have made many favorite restaurants recos. Do try the search for a long list! The ones we recommend are still around since the food is great and they know what they are doing!

Make your res right away. The holidays fill up fast.
