Other Kanaapali Resorts Pool access?
If you stay at a Condo on Kaanapali - can you use the pools at the Westin, Hyatt, Sheraton? If not allowed, are they strict about checking if you try to use them anyway? I stayed at the Westin once and didn't have anyone check to see if I stayed there when I was in the pool area? Anybody else enjoy other pools?

Your own condo will have a pool. Pool crashing is frowned upon by most resorts everywhere. Would you want to be staying at a deluxe hotel and have pool crashers show up and use the facilities that they are not paying for ??? Think about it.
If you really must swim at the Hyatt, or where ever, stay there, otherwise swim at your own condo pool (or the ocean).

Sorry Mr. Hilton,
I didn't mean to take revenue out of your pocket. Who cares if people frown, I am the one on vacation. I'm staying at the Embassy suites(can't pass up the free digs) and would like to visit Kanaapali. While I'm there in swimsuit, maybe I would like to check out the other resort pools - not stay there all day. This could help me decide on a property to stay at.

FWIW , We tried to check out the Westin while we were staying at a condo. If you keep moving you'll be fine. But as soon as you sit near the pool without one of their towels, you'll be asked for your room #,then asked to leave. The trick is to get a towel from the place you're trying to crash. Good Luck

I have stayed at various large resorts on Maui and most of them have required that you wear a wrist band when you are out by the pool. They change the color every day, so there is no way to know in advance what the color will be. I do know that at the Sheraton, if you already have one of their towels, they will just hand you a wrist band. The trick is getting the towel. . .

If it's looking at other pools/resorts you want to do you can walk around the grounds, eat in their public dining areas, etc. but it is considered rude (and crude) to use the pool - God I cannot believe some people. If you have to ask if this is OK then you must have some question in your own mind that it may not be the cool thing to do. You must be related to the women who wants to stay 3 in the hotel room and tell the hotel it's only 2 in order to safe money. I'm sorry, but you have no class whatsoever. While you are lounging about the Embassy pool how would like like some folks to come marching in, perhaps take up some lounge chairs and use the facilities at the pool? You probably would be the first one yelling to security that they were not guests.

This is a forum, right? Asking questions is allowed? Rude is telling a person they have no class because they ask a question. Sorry is calling someone a name and not even having the guts to leave your email. Sounds to me like you have ruined a few people's vacation being to uptight about what other people are doing. I don't care if people are swimming in the pool, Can you tell who are resort guests and who are not? Sounds like you have personal issues with this, LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS!!!!
