myrtle beach
We will be traveling to mrytle beach in sept. I am going with my husband and children and sister-in-law and her family and my mother-in-law. We will have 5 adults and five children total on the trip. The children are 4,3,2,2,4mo. We are planning on staying at the beach colony. I would love to hear any ideas on places to go and places to eat. Also I would love to hear feed back on the beach colony. Thank you.

Shannon - do your search in Fodors. One way is to access South Carolina and scroll down, if you wish. For example, you'll see relevant postings on 6/18, 6/11, 5/22, 5/21 and 5/17, plus I am sure you'll find more if you search before late May. Since North Carolina is very close to MB, you can scroll down the NC posting and see if you find anything relevant there, such as good restaurants just north of the SC-NC line. There are postings as well about lodging. Hope this helps you! Ciao, and Good luck. L

Shannon,
As L suggests, go the US forum (where you're now reading this message) and type in Myrtle Beach in the text search box and then select South Carolina to the right. It usually takes a few minutes for the results to appear.
In case you don't find what you need, here is a brief list of some of the places, attractions adults and/or kids might like.
Broadway at the Beach (IMAX theatre; aquarium; gooney golf; shopping; Nascar go-kart park next door).
Alligator Adventure (at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach)
Take a ride in the 1940's open cockpit bi-plane (may be called classic air adventures) that operates out of the North Myrtle Beach airport. Awesome experience.
The Pavillion (at the heart of Myrtle Beach, has an amusement park, arcades, shops, Ripley's Believe it or Not museum and ride)
