Miami accommodations

I've narrowed down my choices for 1 Friday night in March for the Ericcson Open and would appreciate any input:

Four Ambassador Suites (Brickell Bay Dr.)
Fairwind (1000 Collins)
Shelley (844 Collins)
Hilton Grand Vacations (1430 Ocean Dr.)

Been to South Beach before and basically know what I'm getting with the Fairwind & Shelley, but what about Four Ambassador Suites (which I think is closer to Key Biscayne)and Hilton Grand Vacations (sounds like a time share but offering $150 for a suite).

Thanks.

$150/nt for the Hilton Grand is a great deal. I had a look at the units last year, and they are very nice. They feature modern Italian furniture, a fully equiped mini kitchen(no oven, butinstead microwave), and a nice bedroom with sliding doors so that you can either leave them open out to the living rm, or closed for complete privacy. There are three buildings that make-up the complex, and since they were completely renovated last year, they are in excellent condition. It is in a great location; located on the Northern end of Ocean Drive, you are convenient to everything, yet in a quieter location. With the beach right across the street, you shouldn't miss the fact that there is no pool. (Most of the hotels on Ocean Drive don't have pools anyway, and the ones that do are not meant for swimming) I would go with the Hilton Grand!

Janet and Anthony - Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I checked through Quickbook, and HGV sounds great - especially since it is a suite hotel, and good location. But I get a price of $275 for a Friday in Feb, and it was the same for every Friday in March. How did you get $150?

Thanks to this post, we stayed at Hilton Grand (Ocean Plaza) for one night at $275.00, (even though the site says a 2 night minimum). It was very nice, clean, spacious, and well worth it. It was close to the beach, other large hotels, Collins Ave., and night life. Took a walking tour of South Beach, walked the beach. The staff was exceptionally helpful - we wanted a shower before we left at 4PM - we were very hot and sweaty - we offered to pay half price for a late checkout, but they let us take a shower in an unoccupied room for $25. (for a 1/2 hr.)

Well, I did end up staying at the Hilton Grand for $150/nite - what a great deal! I didn't realize how lucky I was to have found it for that price. And BTW, even tho there's no pool, one of the 3 buildings in the complex has a rooftop jacuzzi (4th floor).
