MGM

I recently saw Carrot Top at the Hollywood Theatre at the MGM in Vegas. He was hilarious. However, I made those reservations a month before the show. I was told by the person taking my reservations that I was one of the first to make these reservations, and that I would have front row seats. Well, when we arrived to pick up our tickets, we were told we had seats near the end of the theatre. I bitched and complained about this and told them what I was told by the the girl taking our reservations. The best they could do is comp us one round of drinks for our party of four. Our drinks didn't arrive to our table til half way through the show. And when they did, the waitress had us fill out a form with our names and addresses, which caused us to miss part of the show. I asked if we could fill these out after the show, and they said no, that they needed them filled out now.
I strongly advise against going to the MGM for shows. Plenty of other good shows in Vegas without the headaches.
Seems the MGM will give away your already reserved front row seat to any high roller wanting to see the show and stick you in the rear for it.
Never again will I step foot in that crappy hotel.

Sorry to hear of your experience. I've stayed at MGM a number of times, and for its size, I have found it to be a quality operation. May I suggest that if you have not already done so, to contact them directly - the manager - and explain what happened. Few LV hotels want any of their guests leaving with an attitude of disappointment. They may provide you with an acceptable adjustment.

There are bad shows and there are bad hotels. I like MGM a lot, although I heard its shows aren't any good. Sorry about your misfortune, but your post will probably NOT preclude me from staying at MGM again.

MGM targets the mainstream gambler.
It doesn't seek to cater to Bellagio's clientele.
And it doesn't take as much care to get 'the little things' right.
But then again, you don't pay for that either.
MGM is better than Circus Circus, but then CC patrons probably wouldn't care about some of the same things that will tick off the average MGM regular.
