2 suggestions from a friend of mine who's not computer literate, but well traveled

1. Sea Chambers
2. Anchorage by the Sea

If you stay at the Anchorage by the Sea, ask to be on the ocean/Marginal Way side. We stayed in one of the little houses because we needed the space, but it's prettier across the street overlooking the ocean.

We really liked The Cliff House, wonderful ocean views from your room's balcony...about a 5 minute drive to Perkins Cove...however, a little pricey in my opinion

We just stayed at the Colonial Inn and really liked it. It's an old rambling inn a 5 minute walk from the beach, with a pool, jacuzzi, and beautiful lobby, and great porch. They have a web site - Colonialinn.com, I believe. You could visit the Cliff House and enjoy it without paying those prices (unless you want to!).
