Long weekend help

Looking for an outstanding hotel for a long weekend in August driving distance from Pittsburgh. Wanted to go to Nemacolin but the resort is booked for both weekends we are available. Only musts are that the hotel be top notch and that it have an outdoor pool. Any suggestions? I'm out of ideas.

Not sure about the pool, but the Renaissance is really nice and has great weekend rates. Do a search for Pittsburgh on this board, saw a post about the Priory, don't know anything about it, but there are a few suggestions under a post about a wedding in Pittsburgh.

Sorry perhaps I wasn't clear. We aren't staying in Pittsburgh (that's where we live) we want to go somewhere else that is within 2 hours drive OF Pittsburgh. Thanks again to anyone who can help

How about the Nittany Inn in State College? Their busy season is only a few weeks away. Need to ask about a nearby pool. If you go there, ask for restaurant suggestions, several are very nice and unique. Berkeley Springs, WV is also 3 hours away and features a small quaint town with natural, warm springs, great restaurant with a great golf course at the nearby Cacapon State Park. Not Greenbriar or Wintergreen but enjoyable alternatives.

I would second the vote for Seven Springs....or nearby Hidden Valley Resort. Historic Latrobe is nearby, as is Fallingwater.... and the areas are just beautiful.
