Lodging near Littleton, CO
I'll be visiting relatives from Thurs thru Sunday June 24 thru the 27th.
Money is tight. Any suggestions for a clean, comfortable and affordable lodging?
I've thought of staying in Denver but I don't know the distance to Littleton. Is there a train?

Hi Beethoven -- are you a classical music fan by any chance? (I am.) Anyway, Littleton pretty much is a part of Denver; you can't tell where one leaves off and the other begins. Many hotels around. We've stayed at an Amerisuites several times in that area. There is a light-rail train in Denver, but honestly I'm not sure where all it goes. Your relatives might know.

Littleton is south Denver. Go on PriceLIne and bid on a hotel. Since it is near the Tech Center there are lots of apartment hotels in the area with efficiency units if you want. It is a 10 minute drive to downtown ideally.

Beethoven, can you give an approximate idea of where in Littleton? If you have family there, I can suggest several areas (have lived there since '89). Don't know how tight your budget is but there are a lot of affordable places in Littleton so I would skip downtown unless you have the desire to stay there. With Denver traffic, Denver is really more like 20-30 minutes. A couple of suggestions: Marriott Residence Inn Highlands Ranch (nice area, movie theater next door, several restaurants next door) or there are several accomodations near Park Meadows Mall. Let me know if you need more ideas for this area.

There's an Amerisuites off County Line road near Park Meadows Mall. There's also a Bradford Home Suites near the DTC area. I think there's also an Extended Stay America or Homesuites near DTC on the east side of I-25. These aren't in Littleton per se, but Littleton is easy enough to get to from there.
Lightrail won't do you much good - it connects the SW burbs with downtown Denver, but it's pretty limited.
