My HAL cruise will tender into Kodiak. Once in port can I walk about w/ no problems. Is everything close by and easy to get to. Im especially interested in the Russian Church, the Alutiiq Museum, and the Baranof Museum.

We spent two weeks in Kodiak this past fall. The cruise ship dock is probably a mile or so from town, but we did see passengers walking back & forth. The town also provides school buses on "cruise days" to transport passengers to & from the town itself. I believe they go to the visitor center. Everything is in walking distance, including the museums you are interested in.

This was a perfect reply!!! Now I know Im all set. Thank you so much Natalie.....its just so hard to figure out what to do when you dont know the lay of the land. I"m ever so smart once I've been to a place!!!!

The cruise ships usually provide transport to this acquarium as well.
