Key West
Going to Key West tomorrow and I am so exicted.Just wanted some last minute resturant suggestions. I hear that Blue Heaven is a must. How about the Conch Republic Seafood or Louies Backyard? We are looking for a great seafood resturant with a relaxed/fun atmosphere.
Also, I hear there is a LobsterFest on Saturday. Anyone ever been?
Thanks!

Forget Conch Republic Seafood and instead try the Half Shell Raw Bar, which is also on Key West Bight. If you can stand being seated by someone with "attitude" by all means try Louie's at lunch, but skip it for dinner. The menu is basically the same but the prices aren't. Two other great restaurants - both pricey - are Alice's and Michael's. Oh, and A&B Lobster, also on Key West Bight...expensive, too.

My husband and I recently vacationed in Key West and found that you can't have a bad meal there! The food is good but be warned that it's all fairly expensive. Even after traveling to other "high dollar" cities, we still found Key West to be an expensive city. I higly recommend El Siboney for lunch or dinner. Just order off the menu--it's all great Cuban food and the prices are more than fair. We did eat at Blue Heaven and the food was terrific. However, in all that heat and humidity, the chickens and flies got old quickly. Maybe it's better to eat there in cooler weather. Five Brothers' Grocery is another good place to pick up Cuban sandwhiches--they were some of the best food we had in Key West.
