Julia Pfeiffer Question
During our drive north on Hwy 1, we are hoping to stop for the short walk to McWay Falls (I believe that's the name of the waterfall). Will it be perfectly obvious where this is- I am having trouble finding it on a map. Is there a marker for where the trail starts to the falls?
Thanks in advance!

Such a beautiful site, aspalm. My family knows it well. My husband has photographed the area often. Here's a site to help: http://www.waterfallswest.com/ca_mcway.html

The entrance to the park is well marked. Coming northbound, the entrance will on on your right.
Once you are in the park and past the kiosk (usually no one there), keep driving to the parking lot. You should be able to park in that first parking lot.
As you exit your car, look to the other side of the road and parking lot. There will be a set of stairs. You can't miss these stairs.
Go down those stairs and turn RIGHT. You will be on your way to McWay Falls.
Have a fine trip! Beautiful falls1

easy traveler- thanks for your precise directions. sometimes things are obvious only after you've been there, but can be quite the opposite in reality. Your explanation was perfect.
McWay Falls was a beautiful spot and, an amazing photo opportunity. Thanks all for the advice!
